What I mean when I say, "I miss you."

You said it would be painful to leave each other if we constantly existed in that space of being entirely open. Though that seems the case, it’s perhaps not so much in a way that is painful, but wonderful. There is no notion of time or distance—we do not exist with clocks or calendars. What remains is only a sentiment of affection, feelings of things being right when we are together. This is what I mean when I say I miss you, even if I had just been with you, or if you are across the room. It’s a sense of absence. Souls don’t realize that the separation is temporary.
