Fans speckled the breadth of the bar, all nodding their heads, appreciating the pulse of good music illuminating the space. Friday night at Velvet Jones was a night for sultry songstresses, serenading attendees with their lustful voices that were filled with both an indomitable femininity and sounding sense of power. Dubbed as the “Slumber Party Tour,” by show opener Alexa Wilding, the talented group was brought together by none other than Brooklyn dream-pop princesses Au Revoir Simone, who produced both an impressive turnout and a killer performance.
